Objectives

This mission for social enterprises has a dual objective:

  1. Get first-hand knowledge of European collaborative funds and programmes that are interesting for social enterprises and work on the tools and processes to access them: those responsible for different funds and programmes in Brussels, as well as sector experts, will provide practical information and directly address questions and doubts from participants.
  2. Matchmaking event: identify partners with whom to prepare international projects as well as potential business collaboration. The activity is organized in collaboration with the Proximity & Social Economy Sector Group of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), and social enterprises from different European regions will participate.
  • Ideally, at the end of the mission social enterprises will have identified their European collaborative funds or programmes of interest and potential partners with whom to apply to those funds or programmes.
  • The mission will also be an opportunity to find potential collaboration beyond EU projects.
  • To facilitate interaction between participants, participants will be able to access a B2B matchmaking platform (profile based) two weeks before the mission.

Who can participate?

Social enterprises from the regions that belong to the Proximity & Social Economy Sector Group of the EEN, that have interest in EU collaborative funds and programmes and want to meet potential partners for international projects.

Interested social enterprises should be working on these fields:

  • Social services and care (e.g. disability, elderly, childcare)
  • People at risk of social exclusion
  • Support for migrants
  • Gender equality
  • Sustainable mobility
  • Sustainable tourism
  • Sustainable energy
  • Education and culture
  • Social innovation
  • Circular economy

Important: this is a tentative list, applications from social enterprises working on other fields can also be considered for the mission.
